Looking for a rewarding way to volunteer?  Like working with people?  Then consider becoming an adult literacy reading or math tutor with Literacy Volunteers of Leon County.  Volunteer tutors are trained to work one –to –one with adults who wish to improve their reading or math skills.  Tutors meet with students at the libraries, or work sites, or may work with students enrolled in Adult Education programs at local campuses.  Our next tutor training is scheduled for the following dates (please note: potential tutors must attend all sessions as noted):

 

Tuesday, June 13th, 6:00- 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 17th, 10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (reading tutors); 10:00 – noon (math tutors)

Tuesday, June 20th, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

These workshops will be held on the 3rd floor of the Collins Main Library, 200 West Park Avenue, 32301
